Effective June 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Biblical App mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Cristian Hernandez ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
1. The Service
Biblical App is a Bible study application that helps you read Scripture, highlight and annotate verses, bookmark chapters, search the biblical text, create and share guided studies, and explore Scripture in several ways.
Verse insights — such as cross-references, word studies (Strong's), timelines, and biblical places — are drawn from our reference datasets through dedicated study features. Those insights do not use the same open-ended AI chat flow as general Q&A.
Chat and open-ended questions use automated retrieval from our Scripture corpus and AI synthesis to produce answers with cited Bible passages.
The Service is a study tool. It is not a church, ministry, publisher of Bible translations, or source of pastoral, medical, legal, or other professional advice.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
3. Accounts and security
You may create an account with email and password or use Sign in with Apple where available. Email registration requires verification using a one-time code sent to your email address.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it reasonably current.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes server-side data associated with your account, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Biblical Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. On iOS, subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Individual plans are available today; group plans may be offered where available in the app or on our website.
Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.
Stripe. If you subscribe through our website or another channel powered by Stripe, Stripe processes payment under its terms. We receive subscription status and billing metadata needed to maintain your entitlement. Refunds for Stripe purchases are handled according to Stripe's and our applicable policies.
Prices may change for future periods where permitted by applicable law and platform rules.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription; you must cancel Apple subscriptions separately. Account deletion may cancel active Stripe subscriptions as part of server-side account cleanup.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts, interfere with the Service, scrape or reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law, introduce malware, or use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
You may not use the Service to harass others, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, or generate content that violates applicable law.
6. Scripture answers and AI-generated content
Chat and open-ended Q&A use automated retrieval from our biblical text corpus and AI synthesis (via our answer service) to produce summaries or answers that cite Scripture. These responses are not produced by searching the public internet for third-party opinions or blog content.
Verse insight features (cross-references, word study, places, timeline) are drawn from our datasets and do not rely on the same open-ended AI synthesis as chat Q&A.
When you use follow-up or expand features, you may send prior questions and answers from your session as context for the next response.
AI-generated content may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. It is provided for study and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for your own reading of Scripture, qualified teaching, pastoral counsel, or other professional advice.
You are responsible for verifying important conclusions against the cited Bible passages and other sources you trust.
We do not guarantee that any answer, insight, or search result is theologically complete or suitable for every tradition or use case.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create in the Service, such as notes, highlights, studies, and reflections ("User Content"), subject to third-party rights in any materials you include.
Today, most User Content is stored on your device. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, back up, and display User Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you, including if you later enable optional cloud sync described in our Privacy Policy.
If you export or share a study file outside the Service, you are responsible for how you distribute it and for obtaining any permissions required for content you include.
8. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design, branding, and compiled datasets, except for User Content and third-party materials used under their respective open-source or public-domain terms.
Bible text, cross-reference datasets, word-study materials, and other reference content included in the Service may come from open-source or public-domain sources and remain subject to their respective license terms. We provide attribution where required. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit Service content except as permitted by those licenses or by us in writing.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party services such as Sign in with Apple, Apple In-App Purchase, Stripe (for web or other non-Apple purchase flows), Anthropic (for AI-generated chat answers), and platform map services used to display biblical places. Your use of those services is subject to the third party's terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content that may be linked from or displayed within the Service.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that Scripture retrieval, search results, verse insights, maps, or AI-generated answers will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular religious, educational, or personal purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we must do so to comply with law, or to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, you agree that disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms in the app and revise the effective date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
